Pawprints Biewers and Yorkies

PAWPRINTS was registered as a kennel with the BTCSA in 2018 and also in 2019 with GEAR.

We breed small-scale purebred Biewers (according to BTCSA and Biewer breed standard requirements) as well as standard & pocket size Yorkies who are lively and healthy, and love playing outside.

"Teacup" size puppies are often born but that is not our goal. Yorkies and Biewers are "Toy breeds" by nature, and we believe it is unnecessary to try breeding/manipulating them even smaller for a variety of reasons. All our Dams are assisted during the whelping/the birth process, all hours of the day or night. This is a team effort by the whole family where everyone jumps in and helps, from catching babies to weighing them, doing admin and taking photos. Each baby is weighed twice a day for the first 2 weeks or until its no longer needed. There is always someone present with every feeding time to make sure that every baby drinks enough. Sometimes it is necessary for a baby to be raised by hand or supplemented with the best replacement nutrition, which makes sleep only a vague memory. All babies are dewormed every 2 weeks. Babies are given their DP immunization at 6 weeks. All the adult dogs at Pawprints are immunized annually and dewormed every 3 months. We also stay up to date with their Rabies vaccines for things to run smoothly when a puppy has to fly to it's new fur-ever family. All babies are taken for a routine examination with the veterinarian. At 8 weeks our little jewels are ready to go to their new homes. They are accompanied by their Vaccination history/Vetcard, and is already socialized with other dogs.

 

In the instance of a puppy sold as pet only, the registration/pedigree will handed over to the new owner upon proof of sterilization. Our Biewers & Yorkies are our pets and like children in our home. All our babies receive lots of love and affection. They are also raised with lots of attention given to each precious one individually. We are ethical breeders who's reputation and integrity are of the utmost importance. We take pride in our name.
